Mark is a British rower and has competed in several Olympics and World Championships where he has been successful in winning gold. He was Appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2009 New Year Honours, and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science from the University of East London (UEL) in November, 2009. Mark took a break from rowing during the 2009 season and went out to coach at the UCLA in California. Watching his athletes train and compete with such a buzz and excitement reminded him why he loved training and racing so much. A lifelong West Ham fan, Mark is a Freeman of the River Thames and has a regular columnist in London’s Evening Standard.

“These events are phenomenal and being part of NOMAN is one of those unique experiences. It’s the buzz and atmosphere that you get from working with people you’ve never met before, from different walks of life but you’re all here for one cause. To raise conversation and create awareness around HPV, so that people involved can go on to spread the word, to help more people understand about why this vaccine is so important. I love being part of Team NOMAN.”
